ABOUT US
Cook’s Island Bus Passenger Transport Ltd started life as Cook’s Corner Trading Ltd in 1988. What is now our Public Transport System was originally started in October 1989 with a small shuttle van running a schedule around the island to feed our Cook’s Corner shopping complex in the heart of Avarua. That first vehicle was a 15 seat Mazda E2200 van, painted white with a bold red Cook’s Corner sign placed along each side.
As demand grew, so did our fleet which now consists of 10 buses. We not only operate Public Transport, we are the only operators of school services on Rarotonga. We have buses for Charter to local Schools, Churches and Sports groups. We also can quote for Bulk Airport Transfers and charters for all types of visiting groups.

Rarotonga's Public Bus Service is Privately Owned and Operated by Cooks' Island Bus Passenger Transport LTD. There are no Subsidies or Contracts to operate this service with either the Cook Islands Government, Village Councils or Schools. We believe that a Public Transport Service plays a big role in any economy and would like to be able to continue providing this service for years to come.
